Yoga Therapy for Couples in San Luis Obispo, CA

Heartfelt connection and emotional intimacy

Do you want to connect more deeply?

You have a good relationship but sometimes life is so rushed that it’s hard to slow down and spend the quality time you would like. Maybe you have children or busy careers that take a lot of your focus. You love each other very much but sometimes it feels like your relationship takes a backseat to all of your other commitments.

Couple’s Yoga Therapy can help you to slow down and fully see and be seen by each other

Couple’s Yoga Therapy is a form of mind/body therapy that integrates body movement, yoga poses, partner touch, and dialogue to help you better understand yourself and your partner. This approach can help you learn to deeply listen to each other to increase intimacy and connect in a deep and meaningful way.

What to expect in a session

  • Intention Setting

Each session begins with a meditation to help you both become present and identify your intentions for the session.

  • Movement and Dialogue

After intention setting, we move into the body movement part of session. You and your partner will engage in partner yoga poses where you practice giving and receiving support. After each pose you will take turns sharing your experiences and practicing reflective listening.

  • Integration

Sessions end with another meditation to reflect on the experiences you had, identify how it connects with your life, and identify an action step you would both like to take.

Couples yoga therapy can help you:

  • Increase acceptance of yourself and your partner, even in difficult moments

  • Increase emotional intimacy

  • Improve connection and safety in the relationship

  • Reconnect with each other even in the midst of your busy lives

Feel connected, seen, and loved
